But I'll not do for free the work that they should be employing a person to do. Next they'll have the customers unloading trucks and stocking shelves.

Home Depot offers them but if you have large, bulky items its hard to scan. In that case I just go to a cashier. But if its only a few items I'll use the self-checkout.

I am there to shop, not work. I doubt any jobs are lost, these places pile on their employees already. understaffing is not a concern for them. when I was very little, grocery stores bagged your groceries, put them in the cart, and then........ took them to your car. that was customer service. I don't do business with people who seem annoyed that I want something.
