I keep getting little ads on my notification bar. A little red or green star or plus notification icon pops up occasionally. When I pull down the tray it's a notification to get apps. Also a few "get apps" type of icons will show up on blank spots on my icon pages.

Anyone know how to get rid of this? This happens on Moto and hTc.

s iii is great. Droids were never all that good. Motorola had some problems but are supposedly back. I'm still not impressed. Enjoy your Samsung!

I actually hadn't had the problem since last Summer. I don't get any ads except for the ones that are associated with apps of my choosing.

Hey, you lovin' that S III? I wanted to get one but I'm having such good luck with my T-Bolt that I don't want to change. Maybe when the S IV comes out I'll consider it.

OK well App Brain Ad Detector seems to do what it states. I've gotten a couple ads but not nearly as many as I use to get.

I just installed AppBrain Ad Detector on my Galaxy S III. This is suppose to prevent the problem you are having. We will see.

stand on left foot, put right arm up, whistle dixie and close eyes. now you can't see it.

Well that didn't work. Got a little red star in my notification tray yesterday. The adbot is still unchecked. Anybody know about this? Hemond?

Ok, went to Settings in the Google Play store and unchecked "Google AdMob Ads". Hopefully that solves the problem.
