Now what you should do is wait nearly a yr & then get a used current generation motor (have to wait for some crashes etc) & mgmt system retro-fitted in. It's the same 1.6L block but gets 138 hp vs you're 110hp, likely even more torque increase & you'll get better mpg to boot. Get the tranny too & have a 6 speed as a bonus.

You're joking... right??? Best way....buy a small turbocharged 4 like from a Porsche & then try to match everything up. By the way, I own an older Rio. Seriously, check out some of the European forums - I'm sure you'll find something on it, as they had items on chipping long before even thought of here.
