Oil Futures Halt Three-Day Decline As Equities Point Higher

Dow Jones Newswires -- Oil futures rebounded, halting a three-session decline as equities pointed higher and a North Sea oil platform remained down.

Light, sweet crude for April delivery rose 35 cents, or 0.4%, to $90.47 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude on ICE Futures Europe rose 78 cents, or 0.7%, to $110.87 a barrel.

Traders hesitated to push U.S. oil futures below the $90 threshold following a three-session decline, analysts said, and were encouraged by a strong start to U.S. equities trading.

"From a technical viewpoint maybe the correction is over," said Phil Flynn, analyst at Price Futures Group in Chicago.
